Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Best Quality

I weigh 180 pounds and I've run on this thing almost every single day for the last 14 months.

My wife runs on it, too.

I haven't had to so much as tighten a screw on it in 14 months of daily use.

Rock-solid.

The best investment in my health I've ever made.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

This product was delivered in excellent shape and sooner than I had expected. The assembly was quite easy. The only suggestion I might have is there needs to be more information on the adjustments. There is not really enough information to allow me to adjust the belt without talking to someone.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Immediately

The product was not too difficult to set-up but did require 2 people to help install the console. It is also very heavy so it won't be moved from it's current location. Both my husband and I use it 3-6x/week and it works great -- very quiet, easy to use. Drawbacks include not being able to adjust the fan on the console to different angles/heights and the console doesn't constantly display time or calories or distance but cycles through the various displays which can be annoying.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Ease of ordering product:

Was able to easily order this item through Amazon. Selected free shipping method.

Delivery of product:

Product arrived 8 days later and was shipping using ABF.

Condition of product when it arrived:

Box was slightly damaged, but was in good shaped. Box is 45x48x24 and weighs about 250 lbs. I am almost the same size as the box and needed help getting it in my door. (instructed carrier to leave on door.)

Condition of product in box:

Well packaged and there was no damage.

Ease of assembly:

Need small cordless screwdriver and a little help installing the console. Other than correct tools and help with the console, its in good shape and went together easily. I took my time and it was assembled in approx. 1.5 hours.

Conclusion:

Haven't used it yet, but I am please with my purchase so far. Seems like a very well made and technically up to date piece of equipment.

30 day update will be posted in mid October with more information.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Review

Please don't even think about ordering this treadmill if you'll need to get it up even a few steps of stairs or into the house by yourself! Even one extra person helping won't be enough! This box is HUGE and HEAVY!

Very Important: This treadmill will be delivered only to your CURB! If you grease the delivery truck driver's palm, he might be real nice and put it in your driveway or garage ONLY, but drivers are instructed to leave it curbside! That's how BIG this thing is!

The treadmill comes in a huge, heavy box - it's almost 7 feet in length and weighs over 325 lbs. You'll definitely need 3 or 4 big, burly people to help you get it inside the house and/or up the stairs.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

My machine arrived to my house, the delivery person was great, helped me push it into the house.

Initially, while assembling the treadmill, I noticed the machining of all the hardware was pathetic: bolt threads were poorly matched to slots, some were finished poorly and had smooth hex edges, thus becoming stripped. I didn't make a big fuss about this, as I was able to tighten them with my own tools without fully stripping them (I'm a mechanic). USE YOUR OWN TOOLS if you put this together, because the tools provided are machined poorly as well, and will surely strip the bolts provided.

So I put it all together, I turn the machine on, and it keeps erroring out after 5 seconds. I call Bowflex's parent company Nautilus. Here is where it gets interesting.

I speak to a customer representative, and explain the error message I'm getting. Instead of offering to send someone out, the rep instructs me to remove the motor cover panel to diagnose the problem. I did this with some trepidation, but continuing, we (I) spent about an hour figuring out the problem. Keep in mind, troubleshooting is being done by myself, and secondarily from a customer service rep reading a schematic, not a service technician.

So then, the rep tells me Nautilus will send out the part we are guessing is broken, that I am going to replace it for them, and on top of that, it's going to take 7-10 business days to arrive, as this is Bowflex's "slow" season. So now I'm sitting here waiting, with a defective product.

When a company sends defective machinery like this to a customer, they better make sure to remedy the problem in person IMMEDIATELY. They have a headquarters 15 miles from where I live, Nautilus that is. But this is a Bowflex, and apparently they couldn't care less.

EDITED: Once the part arrived, it was no small task installing. I cannot believe they left this up to me to fix; anyone without an advanced understanding of mechanics would likely break this machine trying to install the part which was broken (no assembly instructions came either).

Unbelievable. The machine stopped erroring, but like the person stated above in another review, my heart rate monitor does not work. Also, the displays keep switching from one to the next, until it stops on the heart rate panel (which does not work on my machine). What a disaster.

Heartrate monitor doesn't work. Speed, distance, and other readouts work only occasionally. Called customer service and the representative said she'd get back to me after consulting the Bowflex tech. dept. She didn't return my call. Over the next 18 days I tried other customer service representatives, only to be told they couldn't take over an open case. Finally asked for the cust. service manager. and got a new circuit board sent, but didn't correct the problem. Very difficult to box up a 300 lb. machine and send it back. Very frustrating to be asked by Bowflex to fix a new $1400 treadmill myself. Service reps. ranged from indifferent to rude.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Order Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I put a lot of time into researching treadmills and their relative cost because my room mates and my girlfriend all felt I was crazy in the first place for considering one on my budget.

I knew the treadmills at hotels & gyms had spoiled me, because I had no interest in a flimsy model that offered little support and lackluster features. I also knew there was no way I could afford a $3,000 gym caliber treadmill. I felt this was the best compromise and I have not been disappointed with my decision.

The delivery was prompt, but it went no further than the bottom of the outside stairs to my 2nd floor apartment. Thanks to previous reviewers, I expected this. I can tell you that I weigh 160 lbs. and my room mate is about 210 lbs. We're both 26 and carrying this behemoth up a very steep and angled flight of stairs between us was nothing short of miraculous. It cost him a severely bruised big toe. I would recommend no fewer than 3 healthy and reasonably strong individuals to attempt this.

We have neighbors below us, and hardwood floors, so noise and protection was a concern. I had purchased a "heavy duty" extra long mat which helped protect the floor, but was not enough to muffle the inevitable thumping sound. I purchased an additional set of interlocking foam gym floor pieces that I placed over the mat and I found the two together made it as sound proof as we could manage within reason.

Assembly is never fun, and this was no exception, but given the size of the item, it was relatively painless. Thankfully, one of my room mates is an engineer, so between the both of us we managed it in under an hour.

I have had the treadmill for a few months now and I am very pleased with its overall performance. It is relatively quiet compared to some of the other models I have used. The range of features meets and exceeds my needs. I have not noticed the general knee/ankle discomfort that can come with a worn/low quality treadmill so far. I generally run 3 miles 3 times a week. The display is a bit illogical in some regards, but having to wait a few seconds for the distance to show up again in the cycle of calories, time, and pace is hardly a make or break point for me. The fan is underpowered and close to useless, but I do feel a slight breeze and I suppose I probably would not want a powerful fan blowing in my face the whole time I ran anyway.

That it is able to fold up quite easily and still feel as solid as a gym model is a testament to its construction. The flaws are minor and the performance is a deal at this price in my opinion. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Purchase Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

We purchased the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill to help us with our exercise routines. We did lots of research, and this one rated very highly. We have not been disapointed with our purchase. Between my wife and I, we use it to run about 5 miles a day, and have lots of great things to say. It is solid and doesn't move around. The motor is very strong, and doesn't even flinch when I use it (at 205 lbs). The instant speed and incline buttons are great! The width and length of the belt are fantastic, and even at 6'4", have never felt like I was running off the end of the belt.

The down sides (which are minor, but worth noting) include the following: If you change your program in the middle, there is no way to back out without turning off the machine. If you are tall, you can't see the display that shows where you are on the digital "track". The pre-programmed speeds may not be for everyone. For instance, in program 4 (Fat Burn), the "jog" speed is 4 MPH, which is too slow for a run, but too fast for a comfortable walk. The "run" speed is 5, which could probably be a little faster. The fan is a good thought, but underwhelms you. The machine is big and heavy - so, unless you are really comfortable "hefting" things around, you might want to pay to have the machine delivered to its final location.

Delivery occured in about 7 days. They called the day before to arrange a delivery time, and actually showed up at that time.

All things considered, I would rate the machine and our purchase experience an "A".Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Cheapest Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I have tried many treadmills in my life and by far this is the best so far!

It has the feel of a professional one just like the ones you'd expect to find at big house gyms.

I'm a bigger guy (6 foot 5 inches) and I feel very comfortable running, walking, or just jogging on this machine.

It is a very heavy machine, so as recommended by a lot of people, you need at least two to three people to help move it. Put it together where you decide to keep it for a long time! Unless you are just moving it around the room it does have wheels which help ease the process some.

Overall, I am loving my Bowflex Treadmill and would highly recommended it!!

Cheap Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I like the treadmill but it is not as user friendly as implied in some of the reviews. To make any change you have to get out of the program and restart. It is also hard to read the settings scrolling across the front. It can freeze if you try changing speeds or heights too quickly.
However, the most disappointing element of buying the treadmill was the delivery. Nowhere did it say that it was "curb side delivery". And this is exactly what the shipper meant. I had to find someone to get it from the curb to my town house and to bring it up the stairs to my house. By the time I paid for the extra service I could have gone with a treadmill in a store and had it delivered and assembled for me. Lesson learned... beware of what you order when the equipment is heavy or large or not shipped directly from Amazon. Amazon also needs to update its shipping site to clarify different delivery options (if any are available). When I contacted Amazon I received the following answer: "The shipper will bring the package to your address, and take it off the truck, but it will be your responsibility to bring the item inside." I was told if I cancelled the order at that point I would have to pay a shipping and restocking fee. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Save Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

Bought the Series 7 a few months ago and have been using regularly since then. As some other reviewers noted, it's really heavy (prob about 300 lbs) so make sure you have an area cleared for it already (you can make some minor adjustments sliding it on its cardboard box).

The delivery and set up was smooth (30 bolts attached using allen key/screwdriver which was included). Mine was delivered with a speed sensor that was out of wack and caused an L-5/L-6 error. Using a pair of pliers and a small phillips screwdriver, I adjusted the speed sensor (like on a bike computer's speed sensor), but it was just bad. The company sent one right out and now it works beautifully.

The only caveat is the floor must be perfectly flat where the back of the treadmill will sit. I have mine in the garage and one wheel is the tiniest bit off the ground and causes a banging when I run on it. So I wedged some cardboard under there and it's fine.

I only run 8-10 minute mile pace on it, it seems a bit narrow when I'm going much faster (and the built in fan is great!).Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

I was afraid that if I got this treadmill the initial excitement would wear off and I'd get bored with it. Not so. It has a variety of programs that keep each of my workouts challenging. For a female that is over 200lbs and now getting back into exercise has been the best thing to get me motivated to start activity in my own time and space. It is a very sturdy treadmill so you feel you can move on it and not break it like some other cheaper non-gym quality treadmills out there. My husband who is 6'2 and very athletic is also making the most of our treadmill. We are now branching out and doing even more activity since we bought this machine. Love it!

BTW, love the heart rate monitor that comes with it for free. Fantastic.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

The product is great and I have no complaints about the item itself. The delivery was less than stellar. The delivery company called to schedule delivery, but did not leave a call back number. When I finally looked up the number, they were unable to accommodate morning or afternoon delivery, but had to deliver mid-day. I had to take off work to be there - ok, not too bad. They arrived on time, but the delivery truck did not have a lift or a ramp, and I was told that I had to lift the treadmill off the truck myself! It weighs 300 pounds, more than twice my weight! They did not tell me this on the phone, so I could have asked someone to help me. Thankfully a kind neighbor helped me out. Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Get it now!

The treadmill was easy to assemble and only required a phillips head screw driver (there is one included but a normal one is better).
The machine has worked well, and is easy to move in front of the TV for the early morning routine.
An important feature is that it has everything that the treadmills in normal gyms have. With a slightly higher top speed and a fan included.

After a few months I can say I am very happy with this treadmill. My wife is the serious runner and uses the high speed and inclination as part of her training routine. I prefer tennis and use the machine 2 or 3 times a week to improve my fitness and running uphill. It has made a noticiable difference in my leg power and fitness. Even my 12 year old daughter has started using the treadmill regularly.

Definately a very good investment.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

This arrived within just a couple weeks, perfect condition. It is excellent and easy to use. One problem that is minor is that the hand grip pulse reading does not work at all. Once out of every 20 times it might work briefly. The polar strap on pulse transmitter works excellent though. The fan is rather stupid and unnecessary, but you don't have to turn it on. The programs are good to very good, with the hill one being my favorite. Another minor bad thing is that you can't pause the workout and resume it. If you push pause, it will not restart where you left off, you have to turn it off and start all over. Good value. Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

The Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill is everything I expected it to be. We have only had this treadmill for a month, but so far so good. It's getting used everyday. The longer deck is great. It is so much quieter than our old one. The price ($1389)was awesome. Saw the same treadmill for $400-$600 more at other places. And we got free shipping! I can only hope that it and the motor hold up to the usual wear and tear. If you want to do a program, or enter your weight, you have to also set the time for how long you want to run. I would prefer to start from 0:00 and see how long I can go. Minor irritation. Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Top Quality

When shopping around for treadmills I was really just looking for a well rated, well built machine with a large enough deck for me (6'2) to run on comfortably. The bowflex series 7 was listed #1 on consumer reports when I purchased mine two months ago and I have been extremely happy with it. It is packaged by Nautilus and comes with all tools and hardware necessary for assembly. Assembly essentially means attaching the arms and upper console, nothing mechanical, and takes approximately an hour. Becuase it is around 300lbs, Amazon ships via specialty freight carriers which means that they often cannot bring it into the home (i.e. they will help you get it to a specified area (garage, breezway, etc) but you may need to do the rest). It is packaged quite well, such that a friend and I were able to get it moved into the house as one unit without taking any parts out of the box. We were able to get it in place with just the two of us, but if I had to do it over I would suggest using a dolly and a couple extra hands.

Mechanically, this machine is wonderful. It is quiet, easy to use, and comes with a more powerful motor than most of the other folding treadmills out there. The running surface is 60" and more than enough for anyone with long strides to feel comfortable on. It's folded height is about 66" and fairly easy to move around the room once in place. It feels solid to run on, yet provides enough cushion to be easy on the knees. The automatic incline function works perfectly.

They only criticisms that I have are that the fan isn't really all that powerful, and the display window is relatively small. Bowflex may have done better to simply remove the fan, and have a much larger display in it's place. I would have liked a screen large enough to display everything at once (i.e. program info, calories burned, heart rate etc.) rather than having to cycle through them. At any rate, neither of these are critical to any primary function of the machine and to that end, I would give it 5 out of 5; My wife and I are very happy with the purchase.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Review

I received my 7 series on 1/7/2008 and the fan was completely broken off. After following the instructions by Nautilus (Bowflex) customer service I have still yet to receive (2/19/2008) even though on several occasions they have told me I should have the replacement in a week. Well after several phone calls since then and many frustrations I have still yet to find out when I will receive the replacement. The product itself is a good machine that does what it was meant to do. It is heavy but two people should be able to get the set up done.

2/25/2008 Update: Finally resolved the broken fan problem. I had to disassemble the entire console and replace the broken fan, took about 30 minutes. I should not even had bothered getting the replacement fan because it is absolutely useless.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

This has been a great investment. This treadmill is large and heavy. Solid. I'm close to 250 lbs and I could run all day on this with confidence. It folds easily and can be rolled around if needed. I recommend 2-3 people to move this thing if you need to get up or down stairs. Assembly is straightforward and very well documented.

The unit is surprisingly quiet. It gets louder as you crank up the speed, but I have no problem hearing the TV as I run.

Delivery was fine. Used Amazon's free delivery and the guys put it in my garage for me. Strange - they showed up on a Saturday night.... but it worked out fine. Apparently I missed their calls to schedule delivery.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Where To Buy Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I've had the Series 7 for about a month now and completely love it. It is quiet and sturdy just like advertised. Things you need to know before purchasing: 1) It is as heavy as everyone says... i am a big strong guy and had a buddy with me and it was difficult. I thought i could get one end and he could get the other but it was like dead-lifting 300lbs. while walking. 2)All though it does fold up, the console is too large for it to stand straight up so it still blocks a considerable amount of space. Basically what i do is fold it up to move easier into the space i want to use it in, then fold it up again to move it back to it's storage space and lay it back out. I fold it to move it easier. It was really simple to put together and took no longer than an hour to do while watching TV. I recommend this treadmill.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

I recently purchased this treadmill. I cannot believe how quickly it shipped: I ordered it Monday night, it was delivered on Thursday of the same week.
My fiance and the delivery person did not have any problems getting it through the door. My fiance tells me it was not difficult to set up.
So far, I used it 5-6 times and have been very happy overall.
I think it is a bit low (when I put a magazine on it, for the times I want to read while walking/running, I find I have to look down a bit more than I would on a gym treadmill). The fan is nice -- I did not think I would enjoy this feature, but I do.
The incline (max 12) is definitely sufficient for my purposes, though I've seen gym treadmills go higher. The speed (max 12 mph) is definitely enough for me as well. I have gone as high as 6.5 mph and found the treadmill sturdy and not loud.
Overall, I need to read up a bit more to really learn the programs and features of this product, but so far I've been very happy with the purchase and the speed of delivery.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

I love this treadmill! I was hesitant about ordering a treadmill. I got the classic questions of whether or not it would make a good place to hang clothes, etc. However, this treadmill is wonderful. The functionality is perfect for me. I am not a marathoner; just want to stay in shape. I set the treadmill up so that I can watch TV while working out. The programs are easy to use and understand. If you choose to walk, jog or run, there is a program for you. The cup holders are handy - bottle of water on one side and the television remote on the other. Perfect! Buying Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

I purchased the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill 11/06 and it was great. However, in Mar. 2007 the rear roller became noisy. I contacted the company and they immediately shipped a "front" roller by mistake. The technician could not find anything wrong so he did nothing.
The rear roller noise became extremely loud and we've contacted the company. They initially said they would ship a rear roller but now they cannot give any date at all.
We're not pleased with the service. We need the treadmill for walking. My husband Jim had a stroke 2 years ago and he was walking 4 miles per day outside then on the treadmill but he cannot use it now.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Ok, first of all this is heavy. You better make sure where you want it because once you put it together you are not going to want to move it to some other room. The bolts in mine did not match up with the manual, that seems to be common, so dont worry about having enough. Just make sure you use the black bolts to attach the console to the upright struts. Dont tighten the bolts until the manaul tells you to do so. It took me about 1 hour to put it together, some of that was a stubborn bolt hole.
You must calibrate the unit before you use it!. This procedure is sort of buried in the middle of the users manual. I am impressed with how quiet and solid the unit appears to be. My wife and I are both starting to use it and our friends have been impressed with the quality of the series 7. The fan is a joke as others have stated, but I dont regard it as necessary anyway. We purchased this primarily due to other good reviews and so far we are very pleased.

Save Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

Background: Mid 30s, male, 150lbs. I've been running for about a year (~ 1400 miles in 2007) with roughly half my time outside and half on gym or hotel treadmills. My wife and I were looking at a few different treadmills and liked the main stats of the Bowflex series 7: strong engine, good tread area (20x60), heavy frame, fast enough. For just under $1400 and with no tax or shipping charges, buying it through Amazon seemed like a good move.

I ordered the treadmill late Friday night and received a call on Monday by ABF (the freight delivery company) asking if I would be home on Tuesday for the treadmill to be dropped off. They gave me a 2 hour window of 11am -> 1pm to expect the delivery. Knowing it was a very heavy unit (300 lbs), I asked a friend if he could come over and help me move it in the house and assemble it.

Freight Delivery
ABF arrived a few minutes before 11:00am the next day. I was a bit surprised that there was a single guy in the ABF truck. I helped him move the unit on a dolly to the porch, and then we waited a few minutes for my friend and his teenage son to show up. With 4 of us, it wasn't hard to move the BIG box into the house, but it would have been pretty tough with just two people. Make sure you have a friend or two with some muscles to help.

Assembly
We unpacked the unit and read through the instructions. In general, the instructions were very clear and the screw and components were well labeled. There was one small difference between the instructions and the names printed on the blister packs of screws, but it was pretty easy to figure out. Another thing that puzzled us for a minute was that the assembly guide indicated a philips head screwdriver was included. The 'philips head screwdriver' was actually one of the ends of an allen wrench. It took the 3 of us about 30-35 minutes to assemble the pieces (it would have taken about 1/2 the time if we had a 2nd allen wrench and screwdriver of the correct size).

Trying it out
After assembly, I hopped on the treadmill, getting the speed up to about 9 mph. The motor felt smooth and wasn't very loud, although the noise from the foot strikes was a bit loud (to be expected as the speed increases). The running surface had a little bit of a bounce, giving a cushioned feel. Having the long belt surface made me feel pretty confident as I was running, knowing I wasn't in danger of getting near the back edge. As other reviews have mentioned, the console is pretty weak. The main text area is 2 characters, which makes it awkward to read messages as text scrolls by. I really don't understand why the couldn't have made it 3 or 4 characters, which would have made a big difference. I don't really care much about the console for my personal use, but if you are used to big displays like you see on gym machines, you will be very disappointed in this aspect. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Polar heart-rate strap came with the package. After putting it on, the HR started showing up on the console within 10 seconds or so. The fan is also a bit on the weak side. If you get hot while running I think you are better off putting a "real" portable fan in front of the treadmill.

Lowest Price Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill

We love the treadmill, but had an awful time getting it into our basement. They only have "thresh hold delivery" which means they will drop it off in your front door and that is it! Since is weighs 300 pounds, we had a hire someone else at an additional expense $$$ to bring it down to our basement. Other than that it is a really great product, this comes from someone that has been going to high end gyms/hotels for 20 years. Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Right now

The Bowflex 7 Series treadmill has been an outstanding product and I've been very plesantly surprised with the craftmanship. I thoroughly reviewed the fold-up treadmill market before making this purchase, and I'm convinced we selected one of the best machines we reviewed and absolutely the best value. It's rated best fold-up by Consumer Reports (Feb. '07) and we have almost nothing but positive comments about it after using it nearly twice a day, between my wife and I, since we've purchased it. At this price point, its definitely the most stable and well manufactured treadmill we tested.

Amazon was more than $300 cheaper than our local retailer, where we tested the treadmill, and than Bowflex themselves. And with free shipping, we couldn't pass that up. It arrived on a pallet in a truck in great condition. However, I will warn you, and this is probably the case with any treadmill, but the base is extremely heavy and awkward, almost requiring three people to move, though we managed with two. (I recently moved and this was by far the toughest and most straining item to move in our house.)Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Decide Now

I received this product in a little over a week from ordering. It arrived in perfect condition. Due to the heavy weight of the treadmill we had a little difficulty getting it into our basement. The assembly took about an hour to complete and once the calibration was complete it was ready to go. The only things I see that aren't as good as it could be are the fan power and the message display it scrolls at 2 letters at a time. Other than that we are really enjoying the treadmill.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

After exhaustive research, I decided to purchase this model and I'm glad I did. Like the previous posters, I agree that this model is solidly built. I don't necessarily agree that the display is confusing because after reading the manual, I understand all of the LED displays and workout functions. As to the shipping (Eagle), the item arrived on the date Amazon said it would. However, the shipping company originally called on the day it was to be delivered, and left a message that the confirmed delivery date was two days later. My wife took off work to receive it on the appointed original date, and she called Eagle several times to confirm that the delivery would occur that day. With the help of my wife, they delivered the treadmill that day (the original predicted date of shipment) to the spot where it belonged (inside the house). The treadmill is HEAVY but rightfully so. It is also very quiet! I would recommend this to treadmill to beginners or advanced workout exercisers. One small complaint about the assembly directions is that the part numbers for the screws did not match the direction part numbers. But after some thinking and practical know how, the screws delivered did fit. It seems that Bowflex sends one kit out to match all the different models they sell and that may the reason for the discrepency. But that is one small complaint compared to the overall quality. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble. You won't be disappointed!Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Buy Now

I am rating this as a home-use treadmill, not a professional one found at most membership gyms. I am very happy with this treadmill. My husband and I recently moved to a rural area (no gym within site for at least 50 miles) and he wasn't crazy about me walking outside in the dark as the days shortened, what with loose dogs and crazy drivers, but that's another story! Anyway, my husband found this treadmill at a Costco for $1,000.00 and asked me about it and we went and bought it that weekend. He had it set up within an hour with a little help from me.

I think it is very solid and quiet considering that it isn't my dream professional treadmill by Star Trac which runs about $5,000. I walk, run, sprint, and do incline with no problems. I even rolled it into the living room across thick carpet to watch TV during a workout and only had a bit of trouble getting it back because I had to pull it and there are no handles to use. I also don't mind the button layout as I just use the up/down arrow buttons and don't worry about the double-duty enter/cool-down button on the right side. The fan is okay, wish it was a bit stronger. I also love the part of the display that shows how far around you are on a 1/4 mile track. Maybe it's silly, but this really motivates me!

We don't have children, but there are many way to ensure that they don't accidentally turn it on and get hurt. There of course is the power cord which can simply be unplugged from the wall or the treadmill itself. There's a power switch at the bottom in front which has to be on for the power button on the display to work. And there is the kill switch/cord that IMMEDIATELY turns the treadmill off when pulled out or disables the treadmill when out. I think it was mentioned in a previous review that this cord can simply be pulled out and hidden away, there is no way to use the treadmill without it.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

This is a great treadmill. The shipping was really fast, I received it in less than a week from ordering. The only problem was that the treadmill is really heavy and it took two men to get it up the stairs into my house.
The motor is really quiet and the treadmill has great shock absorbers. It's in an upstairs room and when I run no one can even hear me downstairs, which is great. It's a little pricey, but it's worth the money considering it's such a high quality treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Best Quality

I have to say, this treadmill is by far the most sturdy treadmill I've tested in its price range. The husband and I were almost seduced by the extra (and not really useful) bells and whistles of other brands, but we came to our senses and refocused on the purpose of this piece of *exercise* equipment. We previously bought and returned a NordicTrack model with a built-in television. However, the the tread belt was paper thin, which the delivery person actually ripped a hole in during assembly. The Bowflex Series 7 has a nice thick tread belt and a really sturdy, well-built frame. Ordering through Amazon, we did have to do the assembly ourselves, but it was a cinch. All of the bolts and tools came in a bubble card with everything precisely labeled. No sorting a bag of assorted nuts and bolts! I do have to say, the treadmill is a BEAST! We foolishly carried our new Bowflex up to the second floor, which was almost impossible because of the weight and the bulky size of the treadmill. I mean, we could have died. But, we got it up to the second floor without any casualties (except for the walls, which suffered a few scrapes) and the five-step assembly was simple. After a quick calibration, I strapped on the Polar chest strap (included), and did a nice run-walk. The machine ran smoothly and I got a nice workout. The other reviewers are right; the fan doesn't do a whole lot, but I suppose it keeps the air around your head from getting stagnant. All in all, I say the Bowflex Series 7 treadmill is a great investment for your health and well-being--just don't kill yourself carrying it up a flight of stairs!!Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

This IS by far the best threadmill I had seen while shopping. Blows Horizon right out of the water! What you see in Dick's or Sport's Authority does not hold a candle to Bowflex! The one suggestion I can give, and have seen it on evry review, is make sure you set it up where you do intend to use it. YES, it is heavy, but solid as a rock.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill This instant

I will not go into any detailed operation description. Its great and all they say.

The cost was $1,389 along with free shipping. On the truckers bill of lading the shipping cost $345 so it was a deal. On the Boxflex site it was $300 more plus shipping.

Consumer reports rates this model with their highest rating and recommended over all the others in its price range for good reason. It is built like a brick wall and after using it daily for over two weeks it performs like it should.

The box was about 7 foot long and about 300 pounds. The treadmill needed to go into an upstairs rec room. There were two corners in the stairs so getting it up there wasn't something I was looking forward to since I'm 56 and not as strong as I was back in my twenties. With my wifes help we lifted, pushed and pulled and got it up the stairs around the corners, step by step without damage to ourselves, the stairs and walls and the Bowflex.

I was very impressed on how easily it assembled. Clear, concise assembly instructions and their assembly and operating manuals are easy to understand and of top quality. I think there were a total of 5 steps. Everything fit fine. You cannot mess up.

If you can turn a screw driver and tell the difference between a hex head bolt and a Phillips head bolt you can do it. Besides there are pictures if your not sure. They include the wrenches and a screw driver in the box. All the pieces that are on the right side are marked so locating where they go is a snap.

Recommendations:
Use your own screw drive and Allen (metric) wrenches. The included tools work fine but using your own makes assembly even easier and quicker.

All the pieces on the right are marked. Put the words "right" next or across from each other and the thing almost assembles itself.

Marry a strong stout woman or man if you plan on moving it very far and there are no guys or gals around. Unless you are Charles or Charlene Atlas, this thing is heavy and cumbersome to move around in the box. It is still heavy and difficult to move out unassembled of the box, that is until your on a flat surface and its assembled where you can use the wheels on the unit.

Going up stairs is tough and you cannot do it assembled.

Would I buy again? YES it is a quality piece of gym equipment designed to last.

Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill Top Quality

I am very very pleased with this treadmill and the speedie delivery of it. Fortunately I had plenty of help getting it into my apartment and out of the box, very big package. The assembly part of it was easy. This thing takes up a lot of room, but with a little rearranging, it works. I have used it twice and it is a quiet smooth running machine. For me, I feel like it was money well spent and I look forward to years of usage. No complaints.Get more detail about Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill.
