The Bowflex Series 7 treadmill is the first home treadmill we have owned. It is just as sturdy as the ones you will encounter in the gym. The ONLY gripe we have is the the fan is WORTHLESS. Bowflex should just leave it off altogether, or make it powerful. We bought a clip-on Vornado fan, that kicks butt in power...HOWEVER, we could find no place to clip it on the treadmill, and instead opted for a bookshelf nearby. That fan is powerful and we highly recommend you buy it with the treadmill. It is the Vornado 540B V-clip Black - just make sure you have something strong close by for mounting it (just a clip!). The treadmill folds up very tightly, taking up a small amount of room in our small living area, although you do need the length to open it all the way up. The incline goes all the way up to 12%, and is more than enough. It is quiet, and we can still watch TV while on it. The pounding of our feet is the loudest part. For $1,399 it is a good deal.
